You know I'm a dreamer
But my heart's of gold
I had to run away high
So I wouldn't come home low
Just when things went right
Doesn't mean they're always wrong
Just take this song and you'll never feel
Left all alone
Take me to your heart
Feel me in your bones
Just one more night
And I'm comin' off this
Long & winding road
I'm on my way
Home Sweet Home
Cool idea, perfect application.
I’ve really liked the idea of hijacking other people’s business cards for a while now, and a second hand dealer is the perfect vehicle for it. That’s the real trick of designing brands - coming up with great design ideas is doable, but being able to come up with great ideas that relate perfectly to the subject is a magical art.
Design-wise, what I love about the recycled card idea is that it’s so straight up, 100% functional - it just communicates contact details, no design. But because business cards are always so meticulously designed, the lack of design is what makes it really stand out. It’s an anti-heroic design, if I can can get away with saying that :)
I love this billboard above the Drake pub in Auckland for the same reason.

ps having just commended the cards above for taking a crack at beautiful polished business card designs, I gotta to say it’s cool seeing one of my boy Steve Leggat’s cards (the black Dion McAsey ones) in that lineup. Shot bro! I meant those other dudes cards cuz, not your ones…
