You know I'm a dreamer
But my heart's of gold
I had to run away high
So I wouldn't come home low
Just when things went right
Doesn't mean they're always wrong
Just take this song and you'll never feel
Left all alone
Take me to your heart
Feel me in your bones
Just one more night
And I'm comin' off this
Long & winding road
I'm on my way
Home Sweet Home
Memphis Meltdown Competition Intro - wapid - Video - Get creative, have fun and get paid!
We’ve suggested to people a few times that they should try to get their customers to generate adsĀ for them. I wonder if this will work? There are definitely more video cameras / camera phones out there.
The main drawback I see is that they are offering a paltry 800 dollars for first prize, plus a couple of bonus prizes of 5 hundy. How the fuck do you possibly expect to get anyone but a bunch of fuckin retards to pull their finger out and bother making you a video for 800 bucks?! Way to back your creative team TipTop, you mutants. Why don’t you just go one step further and charge people to send you the fucking ads.
Or, the case is actually that their ad agency has already charged them a couple hundred grand already to come up with a “cool new idea” and they’ve only got about 2 g’s left to actually make it happen. Either way, there’s some pretty impressive levels of stupidity at play here.

Doritos have been doing the user generated ad thing for a while and I gather it’s working for them. The crucial difference here is that they are offering these budding film-makers 1 million US bucks AND an ad spot in the most expensive and coveted commercial programming slot of the year - during the superbowl.
So yeah, don’t get your hopes up TipTop… although, they have got chumps like me advertising it on my blog (even if I am taking a shot..)
