You know I'm a dreamer
But my heart's of gold
I had to run away high
So I wouldn't come home low
Just when things went right
Doesn't mean they're always wrong
Just take this song and you'll never feel
Left all alone
Take me to your heart
Feel me in your bones
Just one more night
And I'm comin' off this
Long & winding road
I'm on my way
Home Sweet Home
I’m feeling this dude, hard. Feeling his “torrent of design rage” about great things being replaced with worthless, half-assed shit things that add nothing (if that’s not too much of an over-simplification).
His blog seems good too, I dig his writing style (plus he swears a lot, which I like. I too enjoy excercising my full range of expression)
I get the rage on a lot. In fact I just had a bout of it about an hour ago. I made the mistake of lifting my gaze above street level on the way to lunch and caught an eyeful of the new building developments being erected in downtown Auckland. How does something that shit manage to get past so many people and actually get built. I think if we were to find the people “designing” these buildings, take them to the top floor and throw them off, we would be doing our city a great public service. These things are going to be standing there for the next 20-30 years, offending the shit out of me. It’s fucking criminal.
