You know I'm a dreamer
But my heart's of gold
I had to run away high
So I wouldn't come home low
Just when things went right
Doesn't mean they're always wrong
Just take this song and you'll never feel
Left all alone
Take me to your heart
Feel me in your bones
Just one more night
And I'm comin' off this
Long & winding road
I'm on my way
Home Sweet Home
I don’t believe in regrets. There’s no point living in the past, that shit is done, dusted. If there’s one thing I wish I’d kept up though, it’s drawing. I used to be real good at drawing, when I was a kid. I would draw all the time, all day long. I’m trying to get it back now, but it takes practice, and practice takes time that I’m always pretty short on.
One of my life-long goals is to draw and paint movie posters, or make my own art that will be undoubtably be distinctly influenced by posters. Movie posters are the ultimate, my favourite graphic medium. They’re like comics, but where all the awesomeness of the whole book has been super-concentrated onto one page (kinda like the cover art, but somehow even more crazy). 2 hours worth of action, sex, intrigue and excitement squeezed on a single A0! For me that’s it, it doesn’t get better than that. So I’m gonna do it, learn to draw again and make posters. I owe it to the 10-year old me who dreamed of growing up and drawing Spiderman comics for a living.
