You know I'm a dreamer
But my heart's of gold
I had to run away high
So I wouldn't come home low
Just when things went right
Doesn't mean they're always wrong
Just take this song and you'll never feel
Left all alone
Take me to your heart
Feel me in your bones
Just one more night
And I'm comin' off this
Long & winding road
I'm on my way
Home Sweet Home
While I’m on a roll posting sites and talking about ones you can navigate entirely using the keyboard, I’ll show you this one.
This site has been around for a while, but it is still one of my all time favourites (and I don’t have many). It is a wonderful combination of everything a website should be.
Technically it’s great. Visited links are a nice thought. Aforementioned keyboard nav, that completely didn’t need to be in there but they put it in almost as a bonus and it works perfectly so it’s feel like a compliment to the rest of the site, not a gimmick.
I love the floating pieces of work as well, the fact that the whole layout is fluid and has a lovely aspect to it.. colours that change over time, things that move and react when you click them.. the site feels alive, it’s so nice.
And then there’s the fact that Nessim Higson’s work. He’s just so, so good. For my money he’s one of the best graphic designers around.
Better stop there, that’s enough gushing. Hope you enjoy that site as much as I do :)
